Rhino 7 is somehow slow between commands execution

Hi there.
Is it just me or anyone else is feeling that somehow Rhino 7 is slow in transitions between commands.
Copy paste is slow to response. about a fraction of seconds.
Selection elements in viewport, even with wireframe and small light files, it took seconds to take action after i choose any entity. It happens in curves, surfaces, or any other instance.
Box Edit no more take control with accuracy on entities. Before in Rhino 5 when choosing multiple entities with different Z height it was able to send them to a specific Z high coordinate and the result took action on all selected elements.

Any thoughts?

Run V7 command SystemInfo and post results here.

Copy/paste slow may be fixed in the Service Release Candidate 7.4 Copy and paste lag

it’s not fixed here with the latest service packs, slow between commands, slow undo/redo. been over a month of suffering.

Are you using the latest Servce Release 7.3 or the latest Service Release Candidate 7.4? The last message in the thread I linked to said the problem appears to be solved in Service Release Candidate 7.4.

A new Service Release Candidates is released on most Tueadays: Rhino 7 Service Release Candidate Available - #12 by brian

A new Service Release is released about once a month, usually on a Tuesday. Rhino 7 Service Release Available - #6 by brian

I never use Service Release Candidates.
Always with Service Release for stable purposes.
But if you say there is the correction there i will install it as soon as possible.
First i need to finish some Rhino and Vray nature proxys on this project.

I am not associated with McNeel and only reporting my experiences and what I read on the forum.

Using Service Release Candidates provides updates and fixes sooner, but at the small risk of other problems emerging or an instability. I’ve been using Service Release Candidates for ten years or more and recall very few problems.

This change in BoxEdit occured with Rhino 6. BoxEdit now allows only incremental changes when multiple objects are selected and the “Transform objects individually” option is checked.

You can use the Align command and input the alignment point directly.

i check almost every other day out of habit for some reason. here’s what i’m running, i always install RC’s if they are available.

The other thing to test is to see if there is any difference with VRay disabled. You can disable it in Options >PlugIns page, and then close and restart Rhino.

The latest Service Release Candidate seems to work better. Somehow feels more responsive.

Just so you know:
You can turn off release candidate now and it will keep the current version and go back to only updating released updated. (It won’t downgrade)

out of curiosity, Rhino Legacy Render takes a long time to load when i start Rhino. is this plugin necessary? could it be my problem? i just disabled it and trying it out now.

maybe i’m lucky so far, but disabling Legacy Rhino Render plugin seems to fix it. need more time though and someone else testing.

Noticeable delays after each command, especially if Undo and Redo are used, was a huge problem in Rhino 6 and happened after opening the “Named CPlanes” window and the list of saved CPlanes is longer than 30-40 items. That issue is far less prominent in Rhino 7 and usually happens only after the initial press of Undo. However, in Rhino 6 the delay after each command or movement persisted during the entire session and was extremely annoying. I was glad to notice that Rhino 7 behaves much better in that regard.

so far today i haven’t had any issues by disabling “Legacy Rhino Render” plugin. anyone else tried?
