Rhino 6 Picture Command Not Working

I just got rhino 6 and the picture command isn’t working.

I’ve tried JPEG and PNG files and they both just give me white planes with no image. I saw a suggestion to use -PictureFrame and the pictures path but I either did it incorrectly or it doesn’t work.

I can use an background bitmap, but I laser etch the images so unless I can remove the grid from the image it’s useless to me.

If antone knows a fix for this I’d be eternally greatful.
Thank you.

I would start by updating the driver for both your display adapters.
There are current drivers for both from this month.

Do not rely on the various check for updates tools, as they ALL LIE.
Go to the chip maker’s respective websites and manually find the current driver for your cards and your version of Windows.

See if that gets you sorted.

Thanks @John_Brock

Drivers updated, Picture command not working.

Thanks for any other help!

Can you open this file, and do you see an image?

TestFile4Roissy88.3dm (825.4 KB)

This one is also blank.

Have you modified your Wireframe working display mode?
In Options > View > Display Modes > Wireframe, select the Restore Defaults button.
Does that correct the problem?
How many monitors are you running?
Are you using a docking station?

Restore Defaults did not work.

Setup:

two external LG monitors, one HDMI, one USB-C
No docking station

I unplugged both and restarted your file but without success.

If you disconnect the USC-C monitor and start the system with only the one HDMI monitor connected, does that change anything?

This doesn’t change anything either. All combinations are unsuccessful.

The only other thing I see is you have a plug-in loaded I’m not familiar with.
CatmullClarkSubdivision.rhp “CatmullClarkSubdivision” 1.0.0.0

In Rhino Options > Plug-ins, disable it.
Restart Rhino without out it.
Does that make any difference?
I’m guessing not but I don’t know.

Perhaps you can try attaching a monitor to your discreet GPU (the NVidia GPU) and make sure that is set to be the primary monitor.

Right now it looks like your Intel GPU is showing all the results, but the NVidia GPU is doing the drawing part. Both drivers for Intel and NVidia look very recent, so best to try and see if ensuring only one GPU is used at a time works.

@John_Brock deactivating CatmullClarkSubdivision.rhp was the solution. Have tested it on other machines, plug-in seems to interfere with the picture command. I’ve contacted the developers.

Thanks both for your input on this matter! Very helpful.
