"Picture" function showing white rectangles for most pictures, but not all

Hello,

I am using rhino v6, and some pictures for unkonw reasons, give me a white square when I try to run the picture command. It doesn’t seem to be related to the file, as I was able to use them in the “pictureFrame” function in rhinov5 which I also have installed on my computer. Here is a file that I was not able to use in v6.

I must add also that I am using windows 7 on a mac with bootcamp, my graphic card drivers are up to date as well as rhino.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I suspect your graphics card is not adequate for Rhino V6 for Windows, but that’s just a guess at this point…
Please run the Rhino “SystemInfo” command and post the results.
This should have the details we need.

Does Rhino for Mac run properly on your Mac?

Hey here is what my systeminfo command returns. I don’t have rhino for mac installed on my computer so I don’t know, but I never had problems with rhino 5.

Hello - does this work better?

24bitVersion

Your image was 8 bits, this one 24…

(Both work here, so this may do nothing…)

  • Pascal

Wow it does work now! thanks a lot, I didn’t know this was a problem. Is it normal or is it still a problem with my gpu?

Hello -

that would be my guess… but I don’t have a good idea about how that card mixes with Rhino’s openGL.
