Hi @brian, thanks for setting up this thread
I had the same follonwing crash today, 2 times before and 2 times after updating to the latest release:
The WIP crashes when restoring to a custom saved UI
Few comments:
- at 0:15 the mesh container won’t stick back to being a “tab” on the sidebar container, I guess that’s because that container is a “Side Panel”. Is only a guess because I always used the “Main” toolbar in previous versions as sidebar, so it had the functionality of being connected to a “parent” tab on the “Standart” toolbar, it’s a useful behavior.
If a detached container won’t stick back it’s fine, it’s not shown in the video, but if you get out of the “Mesh” tab, and come back, the detached tab will reappear again.
-
I have 2 floating containers because I still fear the WIP crashing all the time while opening new floating containers from buttons, so I just leave the ones I’m using he most there.
-
I did NOT have any crash from opening containers from “right clicking” some toolbar area > show toolbars… In this option they always appear tabbed on to the toolbar I click on, so maybe that’s why (?).
I reproduced this behavior 2 times before and after the latest release:
Change someting in a toolbar, restore to a custom named container collection, Rhino crashes during the process or right after a few seconds, with no crash report.
