The new Rebuild command displays control points of the rebuilt curve, without any obvious way to turn them off. This display needs to be optional. Sometimes it’s useful, sometimes it’s not.
Example of rebuild multiple polylines with several thousand points to degree 3 curves with 200 points.
I also vote for adding an optional tickbox for the points. They should be on by default, but having a way to turn them off helps with the visibility in certain rare scenarios.
My preference is to see the control points by default, because the whole idea of this particular tool is to simplify the curves to a manageable and predictable (visible) arrangement, rather than to add hundreds or thousands of new control points. This is typically needed for product design where the control point distribution is essential for the general quality of the surfaces.
If the visibility setting for the on/off state of the control points can be remembered by Rhino for the next session (and any future sessions), that would make both of us happy.
