Popup-Toolbar not working

I made a fresh Install of rhino 8 using the latest installer (rhino_en-us_8.9.24194.18121, downloaded 29.7.2024), hoping that (at least some of) the workspace issues had been fixed.
Now, I encounter the following troubles with my middle-mouse-popup toolbar:

  • I created a new toolbar and named it “popup_24_07_30” and put all my buttons
  • opened it to resize it, so that it looks good:

  • With the popup toolbar visible, I press the MMB. Now I have two toolbars and the one under the mouse pointer is the wrong size:

  • Now I close the original, correctly resized toolbar
  • if I now press the MMB, no toolbar appears, but instead I get this error message:

please help!
Rhino Workspace issues are getting a real pain in V8!!
