MMB Popup toolbar still not working - even worse now

Hello, my copy of Rhino updated to SR13 at end of day yesterday, and this morning when I tried it, I first got the same re-ordered toolbar as before (I have for years had a popup that was four buttons across and seven tall, but v8 has consistently re-shaped the toolbar to six across), but with extra space along the bottom and right side. At first I couldn’t click the top without it immediately disappearing, but after trying to drag it by the tab, it came free, I could drag it around for a moment, it snapped into the original four across shape, and when I tried to click on it again, it went blank and gave me the attached “container is empty” message(!)

I ran the containers command to check, and it was empty. I dragged my pop-up toolbar into the “MMB Pop-Up” container, and checked it. The toolbar appearrs with the right shape. When I closed it and the containers dialog, and clicked the middle mouse button, i get a tall, single button stack. If I go into options, select the MMB Pop-Up container, the process repeats (at first a square toolbar, fussy clicking to move it, then snap to correct aspect and go blank). If I select the toolbar directly under options->mouse, I get the single tall stack, but it will snap to the correct proportions after I move it. I have to do it each time.

This error is really slowing me down. It’s so hard to work in rhino quickly with so many workflow habits built up over the years broken by this popup issue.

please run the “reset” command and choose factory defaults.

then go to tools>options toolbars and then file>open your popup toolbar

then go to tools>options>mouse> and check the pop up this toolbar radio button, then set the dropdown to your recently opened toolbar.

Thanks Kyle - that didn’t do anything. Same error as above: worked one time, then the container is empty. As the factory reset removed all my panel layouts, I decided to spend the day rebuilding everything. I created new toolbars in the “default” rui file, as much as I could, then exported it to a new rui file. After restarting, Everything seems to be working as expected.

One odd thing: I can’t close the default rui, and if I open the one I exported, nothing happens. I would expect all the toolbars to double up, but that doesn’t happen. Is it supposed to work like that now?
