No working materials

Hello,

when I import a material from the library, I could not find one that works.
I do it as seen in this:

And yes, the PC has internet access.

Thanks,

Does any kind of error message appear? What is the problem? Does the texture not exist on your machine after you’ve assigned the material?

The problem is, the materials do not show up.
Instead there is a text on the object ‘not found’.
As you can see in the video.

What happens if you click this link?

  • Andy

The pictures opens in the browser window.
As expected I think.

Also from Rhino Webbrowser:

@Andy, perhaps I do something wrong when I try to apply materials?
Or missed to download a library?

Can you send me a screen capture of the libraries panel, once you’ve navigated into the “Textures” folder?

Open the library panel, there’s a menu with the option “Download all library textures”. What happens when you click that?

  • Andy

Still the materials do not show on objects:

The material was applied to the object before, it is still grey.

Charles

So do you now have 900+ textures in that folder?

  • Andy

This is looking like a localisation issue - I didn’t realise that the localisation team had already tackled this.

  • Andy

No, I did NOT know.
Because I did NOT install them.

Charles

I think you read my message wrongly.

  • Andy

Can be, it’s late in here…
Can you please tell me what you mean?
I really don’t understand…
Thank you.

Look in the texture folder - tell me approximately how many files are in there.

Doesn’t have to be accurate - the answer is going to be either 20-30 or nearly 1000.

C:\Users\Charles\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\6.0\Localization\de-DE\Render Content\Texturen
There are 38 files.

OK - what about in C:\Users\Charles\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\6.0\Localization\EN-US\Render Content\Textures

The EN-US folder doesn’t exist.
Only de-DE.

OK - I’ve figured out the problem. It will work in the next WIP.
