Can I copy/paste the Localization (“en-US”) folder from Laptop to my other computer’s folder?
Methinks something went wrong with your recent re-install… That shouldn’t happen.
I would try the following first (with Rhino closed)
Go to Control panel>Programs>Uninstall or change
Find Rhino 6 in the list, right click on it and choose “change”
On the splash screen first choose “Repair”
Let it run until complete.
Then start Rhino. Now look in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\6.0
and see if you have a "Localization folder and that it contains en-US
Note this folder won’t appear until you run Rhino.
If that doesn’t work, you might want to check this thread for how to do a registry edit to try to fix the problem:
Thanks. I actually did do the hange/repair thing (saw you wrote that in an older thread) and started Rhino - no love.
Will read that thread you suggest.
Also - can I paste a folder drom my other computer and create the Localization folder manually, or will that not work well? Truthfully the only template I need (as far as I know) are the ones I create myself.
I’ve alread reset everything and would like to not have to re-install yet again. But I guess we’ll see…
Thanks, @Helvetosaur, but that RegEdit didn’t work either. (Careful to do delete both those folders explained by @brian
UPDATE: I copy/pasted the Localization folder from my other computer, and it works fine (as far as I can tell)
