Line quality

This is what I see when I zoom in with the current WIP. It makes it hard to see intersections. Is there any adjustment I can make to the line representation?

Thanks

Slightly on topic: I also wonder if there is any way to create lines without using CAD-specific OpenGL calls, to prevent people from having to buy “Workstation” cards, well, really gaming cards with specific drivers.

I’ve never seen this effect. Do you have a file with the viewport properly set up so I can see this on my own computer?

I’m not sure what you mean by ‘viewport properly set up’.
Is there something fundamental about Rhino and viewports that I’m missing?

I will do some more research to see if I can find any consistency. The effect occurs in any drawing in WIP for me but not for all lines.
This is the drawing I’m working on today. Notice that only one line is exhibiting the effect.

There is nothing that you should be changing. All line/curve drawing in V6 is dramatically different in lower level implementation than in V5. I haven’t seen the bug before and was hoping that you had a file that you could share with me that shows this behavior.

I just opened a fresh file. Made a rectangle, a line and a circle.
It seems to only show up in perspective view.

Thanks, I can repeat the bug that you are seeing and have it on my list to fix

I saw it on mine as well. When zoomed way out it looks ok. When zoomed in , it starts looking like a cylinder. —Mark
If I can get a file to show you, I’ll send it

I’m seeing this too.
In my case I’ve got a 70m yacht which looks ok, then a very large plane for the water which looks fuzzy - see below

This should be fixed in next week’s WIP. Thanks for the bug reports
