Left mouse drag selection becomes '_CopyToClipboard

Hi, if this is normal as it is? I don’t remember changing anything in my properties setting.
And sometimes when I select objects, the error message appears.

Hi -

When you close all instances of Rhino and launch Rhino, is this behavior still present?
-wim

Yes, it is. Problem unsolved.

Hi -
Please disable all non-Rhino plug-ins and restart Rhino to see if that fixes things.

I disabled and restarted it; but it’s still not fixed.
I actually faced a crash event with VisualARQ yesterday, and I reported it, but I’m not sure if there is anything to do with this problem.

it seems that other commands are affected, too.

If reinstallation is the final resort, I’m ok and ready to do so.

Hi,
I’ve reinstalled Rhino without any plugins, restarted my computer and run it,
but the behavior unbelievably still exists, :pensive: how am I supposed to do next?
CopyToClipboard Bug

I think this is happening outside of Rhino, where somehow Ctrl+C has been assigned to a mouse gesture. Check your windows mouse settings, and/or your mouse software drivers, and see if the problem persists when you use a different mouse.

I haven’t tried any other mouse, since I currently only have one at hand,
But this is my deduction.
When I use the touchpad on my notebook (double click and drag), the behavior is the same.
If this could happen outside the Rhino, the clipboard data should copy what I select (for example, the letters on the browser or in the Notebook, etc.) while I am dragging and selecting it, but none of those data appears on the clipboard where I can check by pressing windows logo key + V. But inside Rhino, those copied data do show up in the clipboard after pressing Space to execute that '_CopyToClipboard command.

I’ve checked the Logi and Windows settings, I don’t see anything that overrides my left button to Ctrl + C yet.

Plus, even my right button with a single click on Rhino view can do the same.

Oh my, I eventually found the culprit, there is a translation tool named Qtranslate 6.10.0 that I use quite often. After disabling the mouse mode, everything comes back to normal inside Rhino.

Thank you for your reminder, Gijs. This one is indeed a little bit surprising.
Problem solved.
