Jigoku-Gumi in grasshopper?

I don’t even know where to start with something like this but my next architecture project for school is meant to focus on tectonic connections so “interlocking hell” seemed perfect. does anybody have any direction to give on making something like this in grasshopper? https://architecture-tokyo.com/2017/07/28/2013-sunnyhills-kengo-kuma/

You could try by starting from diagrid and weaving patterns. There are many topics in discourse to search.

Looks like this facade needs two surfaces where diagonals connect them.

Probaby there are amny approached. But one example would be : Start from a grid with a tree structure. Where columns or grids are in separate branches. Use relative item to create a diagrid (rhombus shapes). For diagonals you need to match two grids and you use relative items or split tree and move.

Something like this.
