Issue with Circle, Arc, and Polygon command in Rhino 8

I installed Rhino8 Evaluation for 90 days and encountered issues. When I click on commands to draw a circle, arc, or polygon, the command bar displays ‘Unknown command: _Circle’ (for the circle, as an example). I cannot draw a circle, arc, or polygon due to this problem. What should I do?

Hello- the Commands plug-in is not loading - can you please post a screen shot of Options > Plug-ins page, with the view filtered for ‘Commands’

Can you also please run SystemInfo in Rhino and copy/paste the results here.

-Pascal

I don’t have plug-ins in Rhino Options:

Here is SystemInfo:

I don’t think your graphics card is compatible with Rhino.

I can use Rhino 7 without any issues.

On 1 GB of video memory? Interesting

I try to load Commands.rhp but it unable to load.

I would try reinstalling Rhino

I tried repair, uninstall and reinstall for several times, but it doesn’t work.
Also I have upgraded windows to the latest version, but it doesn’t work.

Maybe even try downloading another installer. If that doesn’t work, please let us know.

Where can I find another installer?
I download it from Rhino - Downloads

Is your Windows up to date?

Hi -

In the Rhino Options, change the update frequency to Service Release Candidates. That will then find a 8.4 installer.
-wim

I uninstalled Rhino 8.3 and installed Rhino 8.4, but the issue still exists.
Also, I tried to install it on another notebook with the updated and clean Windows 11, but the issue still exists.
Meanwhile, I have Rhino 7 Lab license. It works well. The Plug-in appears in Rhino Options. I am thinking about upgrading to Rhino 8. What causes this issue?

Hi -

Please also provide the SystemInfo data from this different machine.

Is it related to the issues?

I have the same issues.

  • Unknow command for circle, arc, or polygon
  • Don’t have plug-ins in Rhino Options

Any update for fix this issue?
