Importing old FBX files - objects are in wrong position

I’ve been meaning to write this up for years :grimacing:
When importing some FBX files (I don’t which FBX version, but some of these are probably 10+ years old), the individual objects in the files come in scattered all over the place. Here is a very simple example with only two objects: a chair and a small surface where the logo goes. And the logo surface doesn’t line up. If I import the same file directly into Keyshot, everything lines up. Can this be tuned up, or is the FBX import something you don’t make in-house?

Don’t worry. It has been written up years ago :see_no_evil:
RH-52783 FBX Import - objects are scattered
(there’s an older but private ticket as well… RH-49831)
[I guess let us know if you can make sense of the FBX spec…]

Thanks - so at least it’s not a ghost in my machine :slight_smile: Blender complains that the FBX version (in this case, at least) is 6100 - not that I’m any wiser :joy:
I’ll see if I can find a converter somewhere!
