An interior designer friend has a project that was completed by the architects in Revit. After some cajoling by the client, they sent her the Revit model of the home. She’d like it converted to a format she can use mostly for rotating viewing etc. She is a Rhino beginner, but can use the program enough for her purposes. She asked me if I could convert it .3dm. I looked at this video re Rhino.Inside.Revit, but it needs Revit to work(?) I abandoned Revit in 2020, so no longer have the program. Is there any other procedure to convert .rvt to .3dm? Someone who offers that service?

Typically a Revit user would provide dwg exports to others, the .rvt file is only compatible with the Revit version it was saved in or newer.

You can use the IFC-fileformat to export from Revit regardless of which version (I have only used it in version 2010-2023). The IFC -file can the be imported into SketchUp or Blender and either saved as SKP which Rhino opens or exported as OBJ (Z-up) -which Rhino imports
ifc support is a must for rhino 8
Currently scheduled for 8.x
