IFC import issues

After installing the most recent update to VisualARQ 3 for Rhino 8, I no longer see the option to import .IFC files. It appears that I can export an IFC file but I no longer have the ability to import .IFC files.

Hi @Chidi_Jenkins-Johnst make sure VisualARQ is loaded before you try to open an IFC file.
If the problem persists, go to Rhino Options, plugins, (plugins that do not ship with Rhino), and do right click on the IFC Import plugins to load them.
Let me know how it goes!

Hi Francesc, thanks it turns out that the IFC4 plugin was not enabled. Now it works!

Hello Francesc, I just updated to VA 3.5 and tried again to import the ifcZIP file. It doesn’t work. An IFC file is no problem. It works fine in Rhino 7 and VA 2, also ifcZIP.

Hi Jan, we are aware of this issue, which is pending to be fixed. I’ll let you know when it’s fixed.

@fsalla

I also got the same issue.

Rhino7+VA2 works fine, but Rhino8+VA3 doesn’t work.

Both 3.0.10 and 3.6.2 CANNOT work.

Thanks @tpuaup I hope we can work on this fix soon. I’ll write in this post when this issue gets fixed.
