Hi @duchoabn,

VisualARQ supports IFC. You might give a look.

Hi Dale
Thank you but I can not import again

Which version of VA are you running? It opened fine running 2.0.13 here:

Hi,
I using Version 5 SR14 64-bit
(5.14.522.8390, 5/22/2017)

What is the VisualARQ version that you are using? This should work in version 2.

Would be nice if Rhino had built in IFC support without third-party plugins like VisualARQ. Wouldn’t have to carry all the data necessarily just the geometry.

Thanks
Nick

Another plugin is Geometry Gym: https://geometrygym.wordpress.com/bim/#ifcrhino

@jonm is a worldwide experts on IFC and can really help too.

Ok, thx, will check out. This time I ended up going over to Windows and used Revit to convert it from IFC to dwg , but will try other conversion tools in future

Seems these days there’s also this:

Though unfortunately subscription only (which is absolutely crazy for an import plug-in for a file format).

Anyone trialed these are compared them? Seems they all have their own license DRM solutions as well which is quite problematic…
