How to move layout view dimensions along with shovehand object?

Having drawn some dims in layout view to my object, I then need to move the object.
d/click the detail pane and shovehand the object but the dims stay put.
select the dims then d/click the detail pane and the dims deselect.

Just how does one move the dims along with the object ?

All that stuff got a lot better in later releases. In Rhino 8 dimensions should all update after you go out of the detail. Obviously, this won’t be fixed for Rhino 5.
