I’ve been using Rhino 5 for about 4 years now and have only just run into this problem. I’m not sure if it’s a glitch or if I’m doing something differently and not realizing it. Here’s my problem:
I’m drawing in layout space using a detail view of a 2D drawing that I’ve been laying out in model space. I’ve been dimensioning these drawings using the DIM command and haven’t had an issue until this week. The dimensions are correct when I first draw them, but if they get moved (both on their own and together with the detail view) the numbers change. In this case, they aren’t even snapping to the page size or something else, because the page I’m using is smaller than the 4’ dimension that the particular dimension in the attached video shows.
I’ve searched the forums and haven’t found anyone having a similar issue so hopefully someone can help me. It’s very frustrating to dimension everything in a drawing multiple times before I realize I have to move the detail view on the page again.
Here’s the video:
UPDATE:
I found that drawing the dimensions in model space works for now. I’ve been doing it through the detail view so I can see the dimensions at the right scale as I’m drawing them.
