Why don't dimensions move with the object?

Why is it, when I’ve selected both object and dimensions of the object and I try to move the whole selection, the dimensions remain where they were?

I’ve noticed this before in other files, just never had time to ask why.

hi @Joe4 I cannot reproduce what you are describing. If I dimension some curves in your file, and move them including the dimensions, all stays together and associated with the sketch here.

Can you give a step by step what you are doing before moving the curves and dimensions?

In this latest case, I held down the left mouse button and moved across both the drawing and the dimensions in order to select them all. Both object and dimensions were highlighted. Then I grabbed the arrow of the gumball to move everything to the left. The object moved, the dimensions remained where they were. This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this. It doesn’t happen every time.

Hi Joe -

When we get a file that is in a “broken state”, it’s not possible to find out how it has gotten into that state. If you find a way to make this happen, please let us know.
