How to designate the minimum edge length of a mesh face

Minimum edge length (Min Edge) should serve this purpose but for some reason, it doesn’t restrict the minimum edge length. I can’t understand the reason and I have tried to alter other parameters but there is no success. How can I restrict the min edge length for mesh faces?

Maybe you guys could help @Helvetosaur @pascal

Hello - it looks like the way the surface edges line up there are small parts of the edges where Rhino needs to place a vertex

My guess is if you make those small cutouts with single surfaces rather than pairs, it may work better.

Thank you @pascal for your response! Does it mean that the Rhino meshing process primarily places mesh vertices into the ends of the joined edges and surface knot lines and only afterward takes into consideration other custom meshing settings?

Hi Vitalii - certainly on ends of edges there will always be a vertex, as for knot lines, I am not sure, myself, if those always get a vertex, but I would not be surprised.
