Help- No skylight or ground plane

I just purchased a Dell laptop to run rhino, but am having a problem with rendering view. Despite turning the skylight on and off, and adjusting its intensity, there is no difference in lighting. Additionally, there are no shadows cast on the ground plane. Objects with flat materials look slightly reflective, almost as if they are in shaded mode. Rendered view has not only been this way, it was perfectly normal until about a week ago when I opened a file I was working on the previous night. Henceforth, every file has the same issues while in rendered view mode. However when I open the same files on my 2015 macbook pro, the lighting and shadows are correct/normal.

Please let me know if anyone has any insight on this! Thanks!

Hi -

Something on your system must have changed. A Windows update, a Rhino update, new software, new hardware config?
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here.

Hi -

This part shows that Windows is having trouble with the display drivers. That is typically something that can happen during an update of Windows.

Please download the latest drivers for your GeForce GTX 1650 and install those.

When all is properly installed and configured, that GPU should show up as “primary OpenGL” in your SystemInfo.
Wim

See Soooo, you bought a laptop with hybrid graphics and rhino doesn't run right. READ THIS I would look into making the Intel GPU not the primary device and update the drivers for both.
