Shadows don't show up on ground plane

Rhino stopped showing shadows on the ground plane of my files. I had no problem with this up until now. I have the ground plane turned on, the shadows on, even in the display modes settings.
Also when i try to open a file which until this morning showed perfectly the shadows on the ground plane and the render worked just fine, now when i try to open it rhino just crashes. I also tried resetting it and nothing.

post your file and systeminfo? hard to help without it.

This is the the system info and also I uploaded just a random file with a box and you can see that even on renderd display mode it doesnt show shadows:

Hi Kaltra -

Why did you set the OpenGL level to 2.1?
The slider should be at “Max OpenGL Available”.
-wim

open gl 2.1 is the issue.

drag this slider all the way back to the left.

Also run your laptop plugged in with Rhino to keep it from switching to the intel card (the less capable one)

you may also want to follow these steps-

shadows look fine here-
