Gumball Scale issue

Have you ever considered to fix the bug related to the Scale handles? It’s extremely annoying in Rhino 7 and forces me to not use Gumball for Scaling at all. The issue is that when the “Grid snap” is on, it scales at a random value. This happens even with a perfectly sized box of 100 mm along XYZ, even if I snap one of its edges exactly to the 0 coordinate of the scene. I reported that bug again in another thread a few months ago, but have no idea whether that was fixed in Rhino 9 WIP so far.

Here is an example:

can you try the same with Gumball in Snappy mode and confirm if that gives you different behavior?

I just tested it and it works properly in “Snappy dragging” mode. Seems like the bug is related to the “Smooth dragging” mode only.

@Rhino_Bulgaria thanks for confirming. I could reproduce the Z axis here, but not the X/Y axis.

Note that this is the simplest example, with a small box in the very center of the scene. I get even greater unwanted deviation on moved and scaled objects that are bigger and away from the scene origin. The random number at the end of the reported distance is different depending on the location of the object in the scene, meaning that exactly the same object may cause a different amount of deviation.

P.S. Also, please fix this other bug, because it heavily limits the usage of “Drag strength” for the Rotate handles of Gumball:
