I guess the length of the scale handles in the gumball is currently determined by the bounding box, but I think it should be the length of the gumball radius as you can see in the screenshot below.
Better control over the handles if they’re further out. If they’re only the size of the gumball you’ve only got a short distance in which to manipulate.
I’m talking about square shaped scale handles, which have a size determined by the bounding box dimensions of the object instead of a fixed pixel value.
I think the handles should be able to go bigger (to the bounding box), but maybe the smallest they should go is to the gumball like you suggested. This would prevent them becoming too small to handle.

My problem, as you can see from the video, is that when zooming out and also in complex scenes it is difficult to click on these handles. You tell me to click again 3 more times to solve it
I think these scale handles should have a fixed pixel value like all other gumball elements.
