my primary goal for this script is to produce a ‘magnetic field’ of the shapes’ outlines to showcase how these shapes are activating the white space around them. I am new to grasshopper and pretty good at following tutorials, editing scripts, but not great at building scripts from scratch. I have tried using offset (which has produced some weird results) then wanting to pinch in the offset curves to avoid other shapes from intersecting (how topo lines don’t intersect but become denser and closer together). If anyone knows of an easy way to get started or how to transform these 2D rhino shapes into something like the drawing attached that would be wonderful thank you.

For offset I suggest you use Clipper (2 versions on food4rhino) it is a very good tool for offsetting multiple curve.
If you want more it is always better to post geometry or better a grasshopper script.
