If one’s section happens to align with a Front, Right, or other established view that doesn’t impose perspective, one can use a view like that to depict a cross-section using section tools and imposing the aligned view on the detail in which you want to depict the cross-sectional view for printing.
As soon as perspective is introduced, the scale becomes useless as the scale applies only to objects at 0 depth.
Because of lot-line irregularities and the need for non-right-angles in some structures, there’s no way to simply rotate a building until all the sections are aligned with Front/Back/Right/Left views. Trying to align a detail view to objects in the detail view by hand is a nightmare, not reliable at all.
How do we in Rhino 8 or the WIP get a detail view that is free of perspective like Front or Right, but is square with a section rather than depicting the section from a non-right-angle?
Thanks in advance.
