I have been working on Rhino all day, and it’s been fine, I thought I was done, so I closed it, everything exited normally. I had to check something so I opened it back up and when it opened, ALL of my floating windows are gone… including my floating command prompt. I figured out how to get my command prompt back by blindly typing DisplayCommandPrompt… so I made a button for it. Only floating toolbars and the floating command prompt are gone, docked toolbars are there. This has happened more than once, and this time I know for a fact that Rhino exited normally, it was only a matter of about 10 minutes before I loaded it back up. The thing that is odd, is that it shows my command window where it’s supposed to be when it starts, then it removes it.
I noticed that when I turn toolbars back on, they are in the position I am expecting them to be in, so it’s just that they are not being shown anymore.
Here are some questions:
Why is this happening?
what file saved if floating widows are displayed?
Is there a backup file of that file?
Is there a way to exit Rhino without saving the now unwanted floating window status?
