Feature Request - Model Linetype Support For Technical Display Mode

Vector support for the Technical Display Mode is great! One request I would like to have considered is for the hidden lines in this display mode to support Model Linetypes.

Currently they are small dots by default and it would be beneficial to be override these to dashed or other custom linetypes.

Perhaps this is already possible? If not, it would be a nice addition to have.

Hi Tobias - What is that a screenshot of? The Rhino viewport or the resulting PDF? In Rhino 8.0, it is unlikely there will be a wysiwyg relation between what you see in the Rhino viewport and the resulting PDF. You can influence what you see in the resulting PDF by modifying the “Hidden” linetype in your Rhino document. -wim

Yes. As I wrote in that other post, there is no wysiwyg between the viewport and the resulting PDF. The hidden lines in the PDF file will follow the “Hidden” linetype (but there’s RH-76402).

Controlling the linetype of the hidden lines in the viewport is on the list as RH-23195, RH-28537, and RH-64197.
