I use User Text a lot, but accessing it is cumbersome. It would be nice if there was a separate panel for User Text so I can see object layer, name, color, etc while also being able to edit the user text. Instead of a separate panel, this problem could also be solved by allowing for multiple instance of the Properties panel to be open at once, so one could be set to Attribute User Text.
Hi -
We have that feature request on the list as RH-62413 UserText: Display the Attribute User Text Key-Value pairs in a separate panel
In Rhino 8, you can add an instance of the Properties
panel to any container:

The option to have multiple instances of the properties panel is awesome, but was not clear. I’m not sure how to improve that user interface, unfortunately. Maybe something could be added to the window dropdown menu to give the indication.
It would be nice if the second instance of the properties panel would stay in the attribute user text tab after deselecting an object.
I was just looking for this as well. The latest comment of the the feature request says
“This is already solved by the ability to have multiple object properties panels.” This is not true.
I need to be able to browse through/ debug various objects to see their attributes. For text, every time I click on a new object the window goes back to the “Text” panel in properties and I have to click back to attribute properties.
For geometry, it seems to stay on attributes.
