I use User Text a lot, but accessing it is cumbersome. It would be nice if there was a separate panel for User Text so I can see object layer, name, color, etc while also being able to edit the user text. Instead of a separate panel, this problem could also be solved by allowing for multiple instance of the Properties panel to be open at once, so one could be set to Attribute User Text.

In Rhino 8, you can add an instance of the Properties panel to any container:

The option to have multiple instances of the properties panel is awesome, but was not clear. Iām not sure how to improve that user interface, unfortunately. Maybe something could be added to the window dropdown menu to give the indication.
It would be nice if the second instance of the properties panel would stay in the attribute user text tab after deselecting an object.
