Editing "Type" Parameters for Directshape Elements

Hi there!

I was just sifting through a lot of forum topics, and at this point I can say I am unsuccessful in finding the answers to this very particular question.

I am using Revit 2023, and have brought in some pretty complex geometries from Rhino into Revit using the Add Geometry Directshape Component under the Walls Category. Now all I need is a way to edit some of the Type Properties within the Wall Category, and as usual, the Edit Type is disabled for these DirectShape Elements.

Would anybody here have a workaround to ā€œForce Feedā€ these data into such Type Parameters? I have tried the Element.Parameter to set the parameters but keep on getting the Parameter ā€˜NEOM_Clash_Test_Codeā€™ is not defined on ā€˜Elementā€™. {4171010}.

I am attaching a Picture for your reference.

Along with link to some of the topics that I went through on the Forum. I can see the solutions that are given are for establishing Instance Parameters. But my case demands a Type Parameter.

Element Type in AddDirectShape.ByGeometry - Rhino.Inside / Revit - McNeel Forum

Unable to access Type Mark parameter - Rhino.Inside / Revit - McNeel Forum

Rhino.InsideĀ®.Revit (rhino3d.com)

Assigning or modifying Type properties/parameters for geometry from Rhino - Rhino.Inside / Revit - McNeel Forum

As always, this is the best place to learn to get the impossible done, and super grateful to have been part of this community.

Thank You Guys. :heartbeat:

Got the answer!

For anybody in the future, I guess this is a new feature in Rhino Inside Revit, for 2023 and above, we now have the ability to "Types of the Geometry using Directshape.Type Component.

This allows for editing the type properties of the elements in Revit.
