Assign a parameter to a direct shape

Hi,
Beginners question here but I was wandering if it is possible ti assign Revit parameters to a Direct Shape by Geometry import.
I have modeled in Rhino a complex shape and imported that under the Walls category in Revit. I am trying to tag that imported wall in my documents…assign a keynote, assign a material…but to do that I need to add Revit parameters first.
Any guide? From the tutorials online I can see you can analyze all sort of parameters coming from Revit, but not a lot you can do with geometry going from Rhino into Revit.
