Drawing "in section" / line priority

A very annoying feature or you might call it a bug.

When drawing in the section plane, 2D Lines are visible when they are “on top” of hatches, but invisible when they are on top of section draw lines.

In the illustration provided. The black thick line is in the section plane, clearly visible. But there are two lines drawn where the wall section ends by green lines. Those lines are not visible.

So for us architects, if we would like to draw a 2D tech section on top of the generated section from Rhino, we can’t - because we can’t draw where lines are drawn by Rhino … (Or we can draw there, but they are invisible until the section is hidden.)

Section hidden in the view:

Can this somehow be addressed so that it is impossible to draw in section? The same (but much worse) happens if a 2D section is generated and put on top of a live section. Then the line priority mess becomes very intriguing.

Thanks

Thanks for reporting

This bug is very annoying.

Is it possible to make the priority “Urgent” ?

Thanks

Hej Erik -

I’m afraid that annoying is quite a bit lower on the priority list than things like crashes.
Steve currently has 2246 open items on his list. He constantly tries to prioritize these as good as he can.

There’s another problem with this issue:

The “bias” also makes it impossible to select things like hatches. Some hatches work, some do not work. As soon as the Clipping Plane is disabled, the hatch selection problem disappears. I’m noting this if it is not solved by changing the “bias”.

If you want I can provide you with a file exhibiting this behavior.

Thanks

Hej Erik -

Yes, please.
