Dot Hatch not printing right

Hello,

I am using dot hatches from .pat files. Rhino produces nice round dots from these files, but it is impossible to export them as they appear in Rhino in a vector PDF. All the round dots become square dots. That’s problematic.

(Raster PDFs export round dots instead. But at a different scale. In fact, in Rhino, the dots are displayed twice as big as the thickness of the line, which is also weird.)

I’d be very happy to be able to print vector round dots at the size of the line thickness chosen.

Are there any special settings to be made?

Hi Pip -

Thanks, I’ve filed this as RH-86281 Print: Vector Outputs Square Hatch Points, Not Round

Hi Wim,

Thanks! I’d like to add a post here which, if taken into account, will solve this problem. Or at least offer the possibility of drawing dots in a different way; with short lines. Rhino’s support for points in a .pat file remains a problem in itself.

Round cap for hatch
