Does V-Ray 5 run in Rhino 8?

I don’t think so either, as Vray 6 was specifically compiled for Rhino 8 IIRC, but @Nikolay can probably answer this question better.

no, it doesn’t. There are breaking changes in V8, so there is no way to even force load it (without high chance of crashing Rhino).
Older versions of V-Ray 6 won’t work either since they were compiled against V8 WIP. Only the last two releases will load
