Discrepancy between sections

Hi guys, I’ve noticed a discrepancy between the actual section visible in the 3D model and the one generated in 2D using the dedicated command. The section in question is not linear but segmented; it appears correctly in 3D, whereas in 2D it’s recreated as if it were linear. You can see this difference in the images below, particularly by looking at the roof ridge.

Hi @Alessandro_Barbisan Please share the file so we can reproduce this issue and figure out what’s going on.

Thanks! I can see the error at the roof ridge (it looks different than the real-time section view), but take into account that the 2D view is always linear, oriented perpendicularly to the first segment of the section line.

I can also see that the walls and slabs are not hatched in that jogged section in the 2D Section view.

We will revise all this and get back to you when it’s fixed.

@fsalla Ok, I understand. It would be fantastic if, in the future, it were possible to choose whether the broken section is displayed perpendicular to the first segment of the line or perpendicular to all segments.

Yes, that’s a feature in our wish-list, so I add your vote for it!

Hi @Alessandro_Barbisan we have fixed a couple of issues regarding the generation of section views you reported in this thread, in VisualARQ 3 - Version 3.9 RC1 released

  • 2D Section view from a jogged section line doesn’t generate section hatches
  • 2D Section view not consistent with the real-time jogged section view

Hi @fsalla Thank you!

this is not already done?

Hi @Alessandro_Barbisan

This is something we may do in future VisualARQ versions, but not in any 3.x update.

Hi @fsalla

ok thank you!
