Diameter Symbol

The diameter symbol is (and other symbols) not working on my colleagues machine, in neither R8 nor R7. Works fine on my machine, R7 & R8.

The update screen is also greyed out and says his versions are up-to-date or update is unavailable.

I suspect you are using a font that does not have the diameter symbol defined.
Try a different font as a test, or find the font name on the system that works, and use it on the system that currently doesn’t.

Rhino does not actually draw the text characters. The operating system does based on the font you have selected.

Not all fonts are created equal, or support the same character set.
