Graphic card help

Hi,

I find my Rhino slow working with “a bit” bigger files.
Could a friendly soul take a look and see if something is wrong in my settings?

Hello - what is slow, exactly?

Do you have a lot of objects with Displacement or Shutlining applied?

-Pascal

Hi Pascal,
Bigger boathulls with any surfaces and each surface containing a big amount of iso curves

What I mean is, can you describe the symptom? Selection slow? Commands sllow? View changes slow? What does slow mean here?

-Pascal

ahh, ok.
Rotating the view and selecting surfaces containing allot of iso curves. Surfaces that are about 100m2 and having 90U & 90V iso curves for example.

Best regards

Hello - does it make a difference if you isolate the surface? I would not think a surface such as what you describe would be slow to select. Can you send us a file?

-Pascal

If I isolate one surface it works smooth again.
I thought it would have to be something with my settings?
I can try to manage a file for you.

perhaps this hull surface is a bad object? … _SelBadObjects
Or the rendermesh is in too high resolution? Use customized settings in the properties.
