So far if i added a custom size for a window style, and later in the same working session i decided to change its dimensions, if edited the size and its name accordingly, every window with these dimensions would update without problem.
But if the custom size has been added in a previous working session, if later in another is deviced to be changed the expected behavior does not work and windows do not update when edited.
Please see attached video where, i had added days ago in a previous working session a custom size [775x900] in Awning style window.
Today when i select it, its size is not displayed in the window properties, instead *other is in place which is bit annoying. but also
today i had to change the size from 775x900 to 775x1000. I edited the added in a previous session custom size but the window does not automatically update, and gets its correct size only if i reset its size from the properties panel, so it does not work as expected.
Hi @ng5_Alex the key question here is how did that window went from having a pre-set size to “Other”. Can you reproduce this?
Once the window has the “Other” profile dimensions, no matter which changes you do to the pre-set sizes, even if that window was supposed to use one of them. It won’t update because it just has “other” dimensions assigned.
i tried to reproduce the problem, but i am not sure i can do it in a step by step manner.
It is exactly as you describe it, and i can confirm that it happens usually after i save and open later a file with custom added window sizes, but not to all custom window sizes. Its weird. Some if selected are listed as other, and do not update through changes, while others are listed and work as expected.
Also, i dont think that this ever occurred in a single working session.
I will let you know if i down the road i find anything else.
