Here you go Insulation-hatches.zip (3.3 KB) In the 01 version, I made line segments myself. In the 02 version, the DecimationTolerance in the MakeHatch plug-in was set to 0.5. Thanks, @SamPage!

Since @SamPage’s helpful script stopped working with Rhino 7, a grasshopper approach for making hatches is here:

There are now a couple ways to create Hatches in Grasshopper.

Creating a set of lines (Start, Angle, Offset, Shift) can be done with Rhino 8. And the new export component:

Rhino 9 we are experimenting with a control that allows for a tile and then create a pattern:
