I want to copy parts of my drawing into a different window but each time I try nothing happens???

you are talking about copy breps / polysurfaces (= parts) from one rhino document to another rhino document (“window”) ?)

on mac ?
Rhino 8 ?

EDIT
Version 8 (8.14.24332.15002, 2024-11-27) works fine here.

please post:

  • a source file (with the geometry to copy)
  • a target file
  • your system-info

without providing data that allows to repeat your error its hard to help.

and … did you try a restart of your computer ?

Hello,
I am using 8.8.13, apparently I am up to date. I was trying to copy a part of my drawing into a new window that was empty of other elements. I am on a Mac. The file is rather big so I would need to send it to you through something other than an email.

Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the output here.

Hi Joe -

We need the output of the Rhino SystemInfo command.
Also, I’ve looked at the model you sent but have no problem copying some objects and pasting those into a new blank file. If you have more specific instructions, that would help.

Sorry for the late response. The updated version solved the problem of copy/paste. Was it my file or a Rhino bug?
