Changing right click function on mac os

I have a very simple question, how can i change right click behavior on mac os? I would like to use right click as repeating last command like enter key does. Is there a way to do it? Also is there a command which only repeats the last executed command? thanks.

Hello I want to do this too but I couldn’t find it.

Hi -

Yes, in Rhino 7 and current Rhino 8 versions, go to Rhino Settings -> Mouse -> Right mouse button and uncheck the Enable context menus option.

With that setting unchecked, the last command will be rerun with the RMB, the Enter key, or the Space key. If you want to run a certain command several times in a row, you can prefix the command with an asterisk. E.g. *line will keep on running “Line” until you cancel it.

I’m happy about rhino 8 now has RMB click to repeat the last command but where do I click to see a list of previous commands like we had in rhino 7 ?

Or can i set the middle mouse button to show previous commands list?

Is _CommandHistory what you are looking for?

On windows version it was possible to right click to command history window to select some of the previous commands, is it possible to do it in mac in any way other than tight click> content menu> repeat command history? I have been using rhino since 2017 and only switched to mac. Is there a reason why the interfaces are different? I don’t think this happens in many other cad applications.

We are doing a bunch of work on Command History right now in Rhino for Mac. Let’s see if things improve. I’m not sure we’ll have the functionality you are looking for with regard to right-click, but things will have changed and we can see if it’s better (or not).

Yes, but I’m afraid this topic would become a small novel if I gave even a fraction of that history. Suffice it to say, the two interfaces on Windows and macOS are growing together, but it’s a slow and deliberate process.
