ChangeLayer crashes WIP

The ChangeLayer command causes the WIP to crash for me when I select the layer to change the object to. This does not happen when I use the Change Objects to Layer fuction in the layers panel. This happens when I invoke the command CL using instant aliases and accidentally press space to activate the command. This happens in an empty file with just one rectangle drawn.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open a new file
  2. Create a rectangle in the default layer
  3. Make sure to enable Instant Aliases for CL: ! _ChangeLayer
  4. Type CL followed by a Space (as if instant aliases was not enabled)
  5. Notice how Rhino crashes

This is in 9.0.24345.12305, 2024-12-10, Windows 10.

I’m not seeing crash reports from your eMail address? Is that dialog popping up after the crash?

Hi -
When you crash, and then start Rhino again, create a rectangle and run cl + Space, does that crash again?

I just installed (9.0.24351.305, 2024-12-16), launched Rhino, pasted an image from the clipboard, and hit cl + Space. That crashed. I have since tried that several times again but am not getting more crashes. The Space just makes the Layer for objects disappear before being able to select a different layer. But that is expected, since the Space equals the OK button in that dialog.

Yes it always crashes in one go and consistently at that.
