Cannot open any Rhino 5 files

Hi,
I’ve just downloaded the evaluation for Rhino 7 Mac and updated my OS to Monterey. I cannot open any prior saved files from Rhino 5 Mac (licensed). I get the prompt that file is “not a Rhino m_archive.” Is this because I am running the evaluation license for Rhino 7?

I don’t think so. Evaluation gives you a full featured product. Can you share one sample file here? Also post your system info.

the problem is that the file is simply filled with zeroes

not sure what might cause that, maybe some anti-virus software zeroed it out?

Thank you, this pointed me in the right direction! It was a file management issue in one drive. Closing one drive and relaunching fixed it.
