I downloaded Rhino for Windows, rh50_en-us_5.12.50810.13095.exe
, and whenever I run it on a Windows 10 Pro x64 platform, the install fails.
Here’s the log file:

The support site says a few things that make no sense. First, it suggests that I run the Dot Net 4.0 Framework directly from the DVD. There is no DVD. This was a downloaded install. Then it provides a link to Microsoft’s site to download and install the Dot Net 4.0 Framework. When I do this, the downloaded Dot Net 4.0 Framework install program stops and reports that there is no need to install the framework; that Windows 10 already contains the Dot Net 4.0 Framework.
So I have been unable to install Rhino 5 on Windows 10.
Any suggestions?
