Bug: Worksession does not save layer model/perViewport visibility

Hi, there is this issue in Rhino8, steps to reproduce:

  • Attach files to the current file (this makes a worksession)
  • Switch model-on and per-layer-on light bulbs to make some of the attached layers hidden
  • Save the file + save the worksession
  • Close Rhino
  • Open the worksession file .rws
  • Observe that the layer visibility (per layer, and model-on) for attached layers is lost

It does save the main visibility though (global on) on attached layers. So I assume that it would be possible for the other visibility settings (per layer, and model-on). Is it possible to add this in the next Rhino update ?

Actually it might be that the root should depend on the worksession, whereas the referenced layers underneath depend on what was saved in the file. But users can edit their visibility from the worksession too, I am a bit confused here…

Hi Ludovic -

I’ve added this thread to RH-37146 WorkSessions: Save Visibility per Detail
