Saving Visibility States of Worksessioned Layers and Objects

I’m working on some interior renders, and have the main building worksessioned into a much a lighter furniture model for ease of use. I’ve turned off a bunch of layers, and hidden a variety of objects in the worksession so they don’t interrupt the views I’m using (old pieces of furniture, double geometry, etc.). I’m having trouble finding any documentation on this - will saving the worksession and reopening it save the visibility states of worksessioned layers and objects? If not, will a snapshot do so? I’ve had this model open on computer for longer than I care to admit to avoid rehiding objects in what is a massive and verrrry slow worksession, but my computer is in need of a restart so hoping that there’s a way to save these states.

Thanks!

Unfortunately no.

You’ll want to link a block with Reference layers set.

You can then use the LayerStateManager to control, when the file is opened it will retain any changes as well.

Oh man, that’s a bummer - but good to know!

Always been curious about this, should I expect massive performance differences between this method and a worksession? I’m using a different team’s architecture model and it’s a monster, about half a gb, and I cant imagine bringing that in as a block is going to be fruitful. Regardless, thanks for the help!
