[Bug] [Rhino6] Textures no longer work for Custom Materials in Rhino 6

I rarely use Rhino 6 any more, but I do maintain a jewelry materials pack and a jewelery kit (that includes materials) for Rhino 6. I was making some updates to those and double-checking that my updates worked fine in Rhino 6, 7, and 8, when I noticed that textures appear to no longer work for custom materials in Rhino 6. Below is the same file (made in Rhino 6) opened in both Rhino 6 and Rhino 7. Rhino 7 is displaying the materials as expected. Rhino 6 is displaying them as various shades of white/light gray. In the case of environment textures, it is displaying it like a white emission material.

It’s hard to see, but the bump texture is producing a bump effect in Rhino 7 but has simply turned the cube a slightly darker gray in Rhino 6

In case it’s needed, I used the hdr linked below for the texture (but I get similar results with various hdrs)

And here’s my system info…

So, this seems fixed now and I don’t know why. Oddly, a Rhino8 update came through. I installed it and since then, the Rhino 6 materials work on my PC (weird coincidence?).
