Bricks on a surface more stepped and extruded

I have a script where my bricks are aligning to the surface that i want. But I was wondering how do I get the more stepped effect like in the reference images. The bricks in those facades don’t just follow a slanted surface they protrude outward in a stepped pattern, creating a relief or depth gradient.

should i vary the extrusion of each brick out from the surface? Or is there another solution?

I got it by aligning the bricks to the normal of the surface. Now i have another issue. One surface works but if i then want 3 surfaces, how do i fix the corners?

I think you should first draw out your concept in 2D, so you would clearly see how to align the bricks, and detail the corner for instance.

After you have a clear plan, then match your script to that plan. Scripting is a terrible design tool, but great for modelling.
