Autosave just seems to not be a working part of Rhino and hasn’t since I started with R4. It does work sometimes, but I cant explain why or how. Here is a screenshot of the autosave folder and the Options Panel for Files open next to it. It is set to save every 20 min. The last autosaved file it from March 11th.
I open and work in many Rhino files every single workday. Yesterday I had 4 open for more then an hour each at the end of the day. My computer shut down. 3 of them I had manual saved versions of and lost no work. The other file has an hours worth of complicated work lost. Importantly there is no Autosave to go back to that could save me having to redo all of it. I have been frustrated by this many times in the past and just don’t understand what I am doing incorrectly.
Am I missing a setting? Is my rage misplaced? Is the only response “you should manually save more often”
